- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- ⅔ cup (133 g) granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons light brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 cup (125 g) confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add half the vegetable oil along with flour and salt; stir to form a sticky dough.
- Transfer to a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line pizza pan with parchment paper and add remaining oil.
- Press the risen dough into the pan and create dimples on the surface; bake for 10 minutes until golden.
- Prepare the crumble topping by mixing melted butter with granulated sugar in a small bowl.
- Spread cherry pie filling over the baked crust; sprinkle crumble mixture evenly on top.
- Bake for an additional 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, whisk together confectioners' sugar, milk, and almond extract until smooth; drizzle over warm pizza.
- Allow cooling for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
