- 1 package instant dry yeast (8 grams)
- ⅓ cup ube halaya jam
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ⅓ cup heavy cream (for baking)
- ½ cup softened cream cheese
- 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅔ cup confection sugar
Instructions
- Warm the milk and mix with yeast; let sit for five minutes.
- Add egg, butter, and sugar; blend until combined.
- Mix in salt and flour; knead until slightly sticky.
- Let dough rise in a greased bowl for about 30 minutes until doubled.
- Prepare filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ube halaya jam.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, then roll tightly.
- Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking pan; let rise again for another 30 minutes.
- Pour heavy cream over rolls before baking at 350°F for about 21-23 minutes.
- Prepare cream cheese frosting while baking; spread over warm rolls before serving.
