  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream (for baking)
  • ½ cup softened cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅔ cup confection sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix with yeast; let sit for five minutes.
  2. Add egg, butter, and sugar; blend until combined.
  3. Mix in salt and flour; knead until slightly sticky.
  4. Let dough rise in a greased bowl for about 30 minutes until doubled.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ube halaya jam.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, then roll tightly.
  7. Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking pan; let rise again for another 30 minutes.
  8. Pour heavy cream over rolls before baking at 350°F for about 21-23 minutes.
