Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9-inch round baking pan, melt butter over low heat. Mix in brown sugar until combined, then spread evenly in the pan. Arrange sliced strawberries on top.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, white sugar, and baking powder. Add milk, softened butter, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the strawberries gently and smooth out if necessary.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before flipping onto a serving plate.
