  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided use)
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour (for custard)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×9 inch baking dish and bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  3. For the custard, whisk together eggs, remaining sugar, and vanilla in another bowl. Stir in heavy cream and fold in diced strawberries. Add flour and mix gently.
  4. Pour the custard over the baked crust and bake for an additional 40-45 minutes until set.
