- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
- ½ cup fresh strawberries (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F and lightly grease doughnut pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam until combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in diced strawberries.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pans, filling each about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack before glazing.
