Ingredients
- 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 tablespoon + ⅓ cup tamari or soy sauce (divided)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 2-3 tablespoons chili paste
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- Cooked rice for serving
- Sliced cucumber for garnish
- Sliced avocado for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon tamari/soy sauce, orange juice, honey, chili paste, chopped ginger, garlic, black pepper, and the remaining tamari/soy sauce. Add chicken and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Let rest before slicing.
- For Yum Yum Sauce: Mix olive oil mayo, ketchup, coconut aminos (or Worcestershire), seasoned salt, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl until smooth.
- Assemble bowls: Place rice at the base, top with sliced chicken, cucumber, avocado, kimchi, and fried wontons. Drizzle with Yum Yum Sauce before serving.
