- 1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp rose extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Optional: rose chocolate chips for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and rose extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop dough balls onto the prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges.
- Press optional chocolate roses into warm cookies before transferring them to cool.
