- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 4 Oreos (chopped plus more for topping)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the room-temperature butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the flour, sea salt, baking soda, and chopped Oreos until just combined.
- In another bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- Whisk together sugar, egg, and vanilla in a separate bowl until light. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture while stirring.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and sea salt until just combined.
- Alternate dollops of cookie dough and brownie batter into the prepared pan, pressing down slightly on each layer.
- Sprinkle extra Oreos on top and bake for 25-27 minutes or until golden brown.
