- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup Nutella (plus extra for swirls)
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, blend mashed bananas with granulated sugar until mixed well.
- Stir in the egg and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and Nutella; mix until combined.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
- Spoon batter into muffin cups about two-thirds full; swirl in additional Nutella if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the tin for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
