  • 2 large ripe bananas, mashed

  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it lightly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, blend mashed bananas with granulated sugar until mixed well.
  4. Stir in the egg and vegetable oil until smooth.
  5. Add vanilla extract and Nutella; mix until combined.
  6. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  7. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Spoon batter into muffin cups about two-thirds full; swirl in additional Nutella if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the tin for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
