  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar (for syrup)
  • 2 family-size tea bags (or 8 regular tea bags)
  • 8 cups water (divided)
  • Ice (for serving)
  • Optional: Sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberry syrup by washing and quartering strawberries. Boil them with 1 cup of water for 10-15 minutes. Strain to remove pulp, stir in sugar, return to heat briefly until dissolved, then cool.
  2. Brew the tea by boiling half of the water. Pour over tea bags in a heat-proof container and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags and combine with remaining cold water in a pitcher.
  3. Mix cooled strawberry syrup into the brewed tea until well combined.
  4. Serve over ice in glasses and garnish with sliced strawberries or mint sprigs if desired.
