Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternating with whole milk until just combined.
- Gently fold in the strawberry puree.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool before frosting.
