  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream (warmed)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1½ tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast over top and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Mix in melted butter, eggs, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
  3. Gradually add gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt; mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread softened butter on the dough; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll tightly from one edge and slice into 12 pieces.
  8. Place in a greased baking dish; pour warmed heavy cream over the rolls before baking for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. For icing: beat softened cream cheese and butter together; mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and milk until smooth.
