- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup warm milk

- ½ cup heavy whipping cream (warmed)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1½ tbsp ground cinnamon
- 6 oz. cream cheese (softened)
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 5 tbsp milk
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast over top and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Mix in melted butter, eggs, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
- Gradually add gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt; mix until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes or until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread softened butter on the dough; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly from one edge and slice into 12 pieces.
- Place in a greased baking dish; pour warmed heavy cream over the rolls before baking for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- For icing: beat softened cream cheese and butter together; mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
