Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup Brown sugar (packed light or dark)
- 3 Large ripe bananas (mashed)
- 2 Large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup Sour cream (room temperature)
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus a little extra to go on top of batter)
- 1/4 cup Mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F and prepare a 9X5 loaf pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper.
- In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- Mash ripe bananas in a separate bowl until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until thick; add mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla.
- Mix in eggs one at a time, then gently fold in dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
