- 1 package Puff Pastry (store-bought)
- 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (optional)
- 1 beaten Egg (or milk for wash)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tbsp Milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Unroll the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- In a mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and optional lemon juice until smooth.
- Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each square, fold corners over the filling, and brush with egg or milk wash.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 18 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar and milk for glaze; drizzle over warm danishes after baking.
