- 6 large stale croissants

- 8 tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine butter, granulated sugar, almond meal, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Slice the croissants in half and spread the almond filling generously on each side.
- Place filled croissants in a buttered baking dish, cut side up, and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, and salt until well blended.
- Pour the custard mixture over the croissants, ensuring they are well soaked.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
