Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Flour (for dredging)
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Cut chicken in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper; coat with flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter; add mushrooms and Italian seasoning, cooking for about 5-6 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in white apple vinegar; deglaze the pan while reducing the liquid by half (about 2-3 minutes).
- Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet; cook for an additional 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
