- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- 3 ripe bananas
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare two 9×5-inch loaf pans with nonstick spray.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add one egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir in flour and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in melted butter and both sugars until combined. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into each prepared pan, layer with cream cheese filling, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for about 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling completely before slicing.
