  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare two 9×5-inch loaf pans with nonstick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Add one egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir in flour and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in melted butter and both sugars until combined. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into each prepared pan, layer with cream cheese filling, then top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for about 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling completely before slicing.
