  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken until golden brown (3–4 minutes per side).
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium; melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, smoked paprika, parsley, and thyme; stir to combine.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated; simmer for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with lemon wedges.
