- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add cold cubed butter and blend until crumbly.
- Pour in cold water and vanilla extract; mix until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap; chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
- Fold the dough into thirds to create layers; roll out again. Repeat this process two more times.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the dough into triangles and place chocolate chips at the base of each triangle.
- Roll from the base to tip to form croissants.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
