- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
- ½ cup granulated sugar for topping
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon for topping
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8 ½ x 4 ½-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until combined.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60-70 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool briefly before brushing with melted butter and coating with the sugar-cinnamon topping.
