- For Buttercream Frosting: 1 cup unsalted butter (softened), 4 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup heavy cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9-inch metal or springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla until fully combined.
- Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just mixed; fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 23–28 minutes.
- Allow cooling before frosting with a whipped buttercream mixture made from softened butter, sifted powdered sugar, cream, and flavorings.
