Ingredients
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole-rolled old-fashioned oats
- 35 caramel squares
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract; whisk until smooth.
- Stir in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt until fully mixed.
- Spread half of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, melt caramel squares with heavy cream until smooth.
- Remove the base layer from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over it.
- Pour the melted caramel over the chocolate layer evenly.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top and bake for an additional 15-18 minutes until bubbly.
- Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
