- ½ cup mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat oven and bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan.
- Once baked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes before using the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk over the warm cake so it seeps into the holes, then spread cherry pie filling on top.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before spreading whipped topping over it. Garnish with mini chocolate chips or shavings if desired. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
