Ingredients
- 4-6 tea bags (black or herbal)
- 8 cups water (2 cups for brewing, 6 cups for dilution)
- 1 cup mixed strawberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Fresh berries and mint sprigs for garnish
- Ice for serving
Instructions
- Wash and slice strawberries, removing tops.
- Puree sliced strawberries in a blender until smooth.
- Boil 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 15-20 minutes.
- In another saucepan, combine strawberry puree, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Simmer until dissolved to create syrup.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer.
- Combine brewed tea with strawberry syrup in a large pitcher.
- Add remaining 6 cups of cold water and stir well.
- Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator.
- Serve over ice garnished with fresh berries and mint sprigs.
