  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in cocoa powder, red food coloring, flour, and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, reserving a few tablespoons for swirling later.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Spread this mixture over the brownie layer.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of reserved red batter on top and swirl gently with a toothpick.
  6. Bake for 28–32 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly. Cool completely before slicing.
