  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 1 cup (8 servings) 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large mango (fresh or 1 cup frozen, peeled and chopped)
  • 2 habanero peppers (seeded for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced or crushed)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in chopped mango, habanero peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and salt.
  4. Simmer the mixture for about 10–15 minutes until the mango softens and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before blending until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.
  6. Taste your sauce and adjust seasoning with more honey or lime juice if desired.
  7. Transfer the cooled sauce into a jar or bottle for storage.
