- 1 large mango (fresh or 1 cup frozen, peeled and chopped)
- 2 habanero peppers (seeded for less heat)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 garlic cloves (minced or crushed)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in chopped mango, habanero peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice, and salt.
- Simmer the mixture for about 10–15 minutes until the mango softens and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before blending until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.
- Taste your sauce and adjust seasoning with more honey or lime juice if desired.
- Transfer the cooled sauce into a jar or bottle for storage.
