Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 ½ lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¾ cup chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 ¼ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces seasoned with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).
- Stir in butter and minced garlic into the skillet with chicken; sauté until fragrant.
- In another saucepan, melt remaining butter and whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth and heavy cream while whisking continuously until slightly thickened.
- Mix in shredded mozzarella until melted and creamy. Pour sauce over the cooked spaghetti and toss gently to combine.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
