- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a wide skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add shrimp seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes; cook until pink and slightly golden.
- Stir in minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and milk while stirring, then add mozzarella, Parmesan, cream cheese, and additional butter. Mix until melted into a creamy sauce.
- Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce using reserved pasta water as needed to adjust consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary; garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
