Ingredients
- 8 butter croissants
- 8 slices of cooked chicken
- 60g flour
- 500ml milk
- 50g butter
- 250g grated cheese (such as emmental)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Nutmeg to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and stir until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the grated cheese, seasoning with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Slice each croissant horizontally without cutting all the way through and place a slice of chicken inside each.
- Spoon the cheese sauce generously into each croissant.
- Place assembled croissants on a baking tray and bake for about 24 minutes or until golden brown.
