  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Coarse sugar (optional, for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix blueberries with cornstarch and lemon juice; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Layer with blueberries.
  5. Cut strips along the sides of the pastry and braid them over the filling. Brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
