- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Coarse sugar (optional, for sprinkling)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix blueberries with cornstarch and lemon juice; set aside.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Layer with blueberries.
- Cut strips along the sides of the pastry and braid them over the filling. Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk for glaze; drizzle over cooled braid before serving.
