Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the tuna steaks dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Carefully add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
- Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium-low, add butter to the skillet, and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Mix in chopped parsley and lemon juice into the garlic butter sauce before returning the tuna to coat with the sauce.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
