  • 2 Ahi tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the tuna steaks dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Carefully add the tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes per side for rare or 2-3 minutes for medium-rare.
  3. Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside. Lower the heat to medium-low, add butter to the skillet, and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Mix in chopped parsley and lemon juice into the garlic butter sauce before returning the tuna to coat with the sauce.
  5. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
